Configuring HTML and XML editors in Microsoft Windows

Open authoring

Pega 7 Platform supports open authoring. You can set up third party editors to help you write HTML and XML by specifying the program you want to use as the default editor for XML and HTML file types for Microsoft Windows XP and Microsoft Windows 7.

Note: If you do not set up any editor, Pega 7 Platform uses Windows Notepad as your XML and HTML editor.

The next time you click magnifying glass in a Pega 7 Platform form, Pega 7 Platform opens your chosen editor.

5. Click browse and navigate to identify the executable file for your chosen editor in the field Application used to perform action. Click OK. The next time you click magnifying glass in a Pega 7 Platform form, Pega 7 Platform opens your chosen editor.
